The problem
A small brand that wants to post consistently needs a designer, a video editor, and someone to remember to publish. On a phone, the options are a toy editor or a subscription app that uploads everything to someone else's cloud and charges per render.
What I built
An Expo/React Native app backed by Supabase for auth and Postgres, Cloudflare R2 for media storage, Deepgram for transcription, and ffmpeg running on Modal for rendering. Architecture decisions are recorded as ADRs in the repo. 241 commits so far.
Decisions I'd defend
Dropped AWS for Cloudflare R2 and Modal (ADR 0002)
R2 has no egress fees, which matters enormously for a media app where every render pulls source files back out. The AWS infrastructure is still in the repo, parked and unapplied, rather than deleted — if the tradeoff changes, the path back is intact.
What changed
In active development. The rendering pipeline and transcription flow work end to end; it has not launched. The screens shown here are the design artboards the app is being built against.
